A UNIQUE VALVE OPERATING SYSTEM
specially developed for
the
smaller gauge locomotive by
"Well
Chuffed"
giving precise valve
movements, using the minimum of linkage thus reducing wear and tear,
also featuring an in-cab reversing lever on manual models.
"No more pushing
or shoving to change direction".
With radio control the practise of
"notching
up"
can
be achieved. This system is a registered design, world patents pending.
A UNIQUE QUARTERING SYSTEM
ensures perfect alignment of either wheels
or fly-cranks on the axles.
CYLINDERS
are double acting and machined from solid brass with
a 9mm. bore and 12mm. stroke, fitted with "O" ring piston
seals and stuffing glands, having slide valves. The crossheads are cast
with separate cylinder covers painted black or body colour.
COPPER BOILERS
are silver soldered, with a centre flue burner.
The water filler is situated under the dome, this accepts the pipe
from the filler bottle as supplied, or can be unscrewed for initial
filling before steaming. A water gauge is fitted as standard as is a
boiler drain valve below the footplate. All boilers are made and tested to E.E.C regulations.
A DISPLACEMENT LUBRICATOR
is mounted on the footplate and drains
off through the back sheet, and is easily accessible.
THE GAS TANK
is fitted in the cab, being filled
through a sliding roof hatch. The regulator lever protrudes to the rear
of the cab, just below the roof, and is therefore more accessible during
operation. Gas tank tested and certified.
40 MHz RADIO CONTROL is fitted as standard, the receiver being
in the left
hand tank inside the cab. The switch is on top of the right hand bunker. The re-chargeable batteries are
in the right hand tank and are accessible through a hinged flap in the
tank base.
